BIO
Hailing from Rotorua, New Zealand,
Christian Thurston entered the American Operatic Scene through The Manhattan School of Music, completing his Masters of Music in 2017. He was immediately offered a Resident Artist position with the Minnesota Opera, a move that has defined his American career.
Christian performed 'Marcello' in La bohème with Theater Latté Da in 2020, before returning to New Zealand to perform the title role in Don Giovanni with The Wellington Opera.
The 2021/2022 season sees Christian as the featured artist in the Malborough Opera Festival and singing the title role in Schumann's Faust with Orchestra Wellington.
